📹 DexBot Quality Guide

Higher quality = higher ratings = access to premium bounties and better pay.

✅ What Makes a GOOD Submission
  • Good lighting — natural daylight or a bright indoor light behind the camera
  • Stable camera — prop your phone or use a tripod. Shaky footage gets rejected.
  • Full task is visible — your hands, tools, and environment should all fit in frame
  • Follows all bounty specifications — read the recording specs carefully before you start
  • Natural behavior — act normally. Don't slow down, narrate, or perform for the camera.
  • Meets minimum duration — check the bounty's required recording length
  • No cuts or edits — submit continuous raw footage
❌ Common Rejection Reasons
  • Blurry, shaky, or dark footage — reviewers can't use video they can't see clearly
  • Missing required angles or activities listed in the bounty specs
  • Under minimum duration — partial recordings won't qualify
  • Staged or exaggerated movements — AI training needs natural human behavior
  • Wrong environment or activity — re-read the bounty description before recording
  • Edited or cut video — we need continuous unedited footage
📱 Camera Setup Tips
💡 Lighting

Face a window or light source. Never shoot with light behind you — this creates a dark silhouette. Overcast daylight is ideal: even, shadow-free.

📐 Angle

Position the camera so it captures the full action zone. For hand tasks, shoot from slightly above. For full-body, pull back enough to see your whole body.

🔒 Stability

Set your phone on a surface, lean it against something, or use a $10–15 phone tripod. Handheld video is almost always too shaky unless you're very steady.

🎯 Framing

Check your frame before you start recording. Make sure the full task is visible — no key actions should happen off-screen or cut off at the edge.

Pro tip: A $15 phone tripod doubles your video quality and earnings potential. Stable footage gets approved significantly more often.
⭐ How the Rating System Works

After approval, companies rate your submission 1–5 stars. Your rating history affects your access to higher-paying bounties.

★★★★★ Excellent — exactly what the bounty required, perfect quality, natural behavior
★★★★☆ Good — meets all requirements with minor quality issues (slight shake, brief dark spot)
★★★☆☆ Acceptable — video was usable but missed some specs or had quality issues throughout
★★☆☆☆ Poor — barely met the minimum bar. Approved but should be significantly improved
★☆☆☆☆ Not usable — video was approved by mistake or only barely. Read the specs carefully.
🚀 How to Go from 3-Star to 5-Star DexBot
01
Read the bounty specs twice before you start
Most 3-star ratings come from missing a spec that was clearly listed. Take 2 minutes to re-read before recording.
02
Do a 30-second test recording first
Set up your shot, record 30 seconds, watch it back. Fix your angle, lighting, or stability issues before doing the full take.
03
Record longer than the minimum
If the bounty requires 5 minutes, record 6–7. Start the camera before you start the task, stop it after. You don't want to be cut short.
04
Act naturally — don't perform
AI robots need to learn real human behavior. Slowed down, exaggerated, or "staged" movements are actually less useful than your natural pace. Just do the task normally.
05
Use a tripod
This is the single highest-ROI change you can make. Stable footage consistently earns higher ratings and approvals.
